V Planet Launches New Staff E-Mail Address
(6/7/2004) No more middleman! Our new, cushy Staff E-mail Address offers easy access to all our game reviewers, which is bound to make game-makers and staffers very happy.

For years, V Planet has been jumping from mailbox to mailbox, looking for the perfect e-mail address to house game review requests, feedback, and communication between V Planet staff members. Now thanks to V Planet Editor Nekrophidius, V Planet finally owns a great, new e-mail service that's bound to please programmers, gamers, and staffers alike, at vplanet@digitalblackie.com.

As the first big step to rebuilding V Planet, the V Planet Staff e-mail account now allows QB programmers to forward their games straight to the entire V Planet staff, instead of sending it to a "middle man" who then forwards it to the appropriate staff member (in the old, cluttered e-mail system, games to be reviewed were first sent to the editor, who forwards it to the Managing Editor, who finally delivers it to the game reviewing team). By eliminating all these unnecessary steps, it virtually eliminates the chance of requested game reviews becoming lost in transition, and helps to maximize efficiency as V Planet readies to review a new generation of QB games.

As an added bonus, all QB game requests currently pending in the old V Planet e-mail account have been sent and organized to the new e-mail address for easy access among all of V Planet's staff members, making sure that QB programmers currently waiting for their games to be reviewed don't have to resend their material. It also makes the possibility of a pending game list (similar to the format seen in other popular QB game review sites like GBGames) when the new V Planet machine is fully unveiled.

Now that all feedback and are open for all the V Planet staff to see, we encourage everyone who's interested to send any requests regarding QB games they want reviewed, promoted, or covered to christen the new e-mail service. As a QBasic Game Review magazine our primary mission is to shed the spotlight on the latest QB projects from today's QB coding groups, and hopefully this new e-mail service is the first step in making this possible again.
