The first 100% QuickBasic game Review magazine V Planet's Holiday Picks (12/23/2000) Looking for QB games that will remind you of winter and all things related to the holiday season? We give our top picks. With the Holiday season coming and going, there's no better time to play some QB games reminiscent of the Holiday spirit than now. We've searched through our library of reviewed games for the best examples of QB games that bring forth such Holiday cheer and wintry spirits, and after our search we've rounded out the Top 5 V Planet's Holiday game picks. If you haven't tried these games yet, make sure you play one or two for the sake of the Holiday season! #5: MiniRPG 1 BoardGame (JawsVSoft) If there's one thing about the Holiday season, it's being with the ones you love. MiniRPG 1 Boardgame unites all the characters from the JawsVSoft universe and puts them in a very well-animated board game adventure. Click here to read Mini RPG 1 Boardgame Review. #4: The Void (Ribbonsoft) Fans of this orb-catching adventure will remember that the hero had to travel through a strange snow-packed land filled with underground museums and figure-skating creatures. The world was so cold that you needed a bowl of cereal and heavy winter attire! The best part is you can also go to the desert when things get a little too cold and Christmasy for you. Click here to read The Void Review. #3: QB Ski (Alex-Knight Percival) QB Ski was really one of those games that helped launch QB City. A favorite among old-school QB games, QB Ski allows you to ski in courses around the world. You can either shoot for the best time or try out some practice courses to fine-tune your skills. The only thing missing is the hot chocolate at the end of the finish line. With some of the most accurate physics made in a QB game, you'll really feel like you're in the middle of the Arctic. There's so much snow out there that you can see the snow fall from the sky while playing the game! Just make sure you dress appropriately. This game has everything involved with Christmas, including snow and their flagship mascot Mr. Wolf in a Santa suit. Right now we're so swamped with games to review that we may never get to review this semi-sequel to Around The World until next Christmas, but you can download this Holiday-filled game now by going to TMB Production's website.
