Adigun A. Polack has a programming contest set up just in time for the Holidays.
Shortly after releasing his own QB website, Adigun A. Polack is now promoting the QuickBasic Caliber Programming Compo, a QB programming contest designed to take place during the Holiday season. To enter the contest, you must first choose from making either Vertical Side-Scrolling game, a Breakout clone, or a graphics demo. Adigun includes examples for each game type, so you have an idea what he's looking for in an entry. Working in teams are accepted, but all graphics, music, sound effects, and code in the game have to be original. In addition, Adigun also includes a pretty long list of images, symbols, dialogue, plot twists, and other things that are absolutely not allowed in the contest. Make sure you visit Adigun's website for complete details if you're interested in taking part in the QuickBasic Caliber Programming Compo. The deadline for the contest is April 1, 2003. We wish everyone entering this unique contest the best of luck! Article written by Vance Velez, Editor |
