As seen in the V Planet Forum, DarkDread is hosting a QBRPG making competition in the Darkness Ethereal Forums. The contest is currently very much underway, with at least eleven participants involved, including Lithium, Nexinarius (also known as Mr. Moose), MadQB, Matt2Jones, Tales of Utopia webmaster Terry Cavanagh, our very own V Planet Editor Vance Velez, and even 2002 Gaming Gold Legend DarkDread himself. The contest, which ends on October 25th, gives QB gamers only one week of development time to make graphics and code an entirely new QBRPG. To keep things interesting, limitations are placed on the total number of tiles that can be used. Other graphics and game mechanic restrictions are placed to make sure that a one-week deadline is realistic for a complete RPG, the most interesting of which is a "No shops" rule.
