In May, a server problem at the host of QB game review website GBGames erupted into an operating system failure, resulting in the loss of all the data that made up the GBGames website. Fortunately, GBGames webmaster Gianfranco kept a back-up copy of the GBGames website. Since then, the 51-review website has been under the strenuous process of re-uploading files. After a month's worth of work, Gianfranco is happy to announce that much of the site has been re-uploaded. In particular, Gianfranco wants QB gamers to know that the file archive section at GBGames has been restored, allowing people to download QB games straight from the site's review pages. "I finally uploaded the files to the site. I haven't updated, but I had trouble letting people know," says Gianfranco. "One, my forum was hosted at zext.net and apparantly they removed the forums there. Two, my mailing list was hosted at server.com and since I haven't used it in awhile, they removed it. I tried to post at qb45.com but apparently they removed my post. I can't find it there anymore. Must have thought it was spam." Gianfranco still has quite a bit of work to straighten out (both QB and non-QB related) before GBGames can return to a state where it can update regularly and comfortably. In meantime we commiserate with Gianfranco. Reuploading a website can be very strenuous, and it takes a lot of effort to get back into the habit of updating websites frequently.
