QB45.com To Go To Highest Bidder
(7/26/2001) After five years of informing and providing, Future Software webmaster Jorden Chamid says "He's moving on" and selling QB45.com to one new and happy owner.

Wouldn't it be ironic if this guy ended up winning the bid for qb45.com?

As of this moment, the domain name qb45.com is being auctioned by Future Software webmaster Jorden Chamid. The domain name being auctioned also includes several sub-domains, which break down into http://asm.qb45.com, http://c.qb45.com, http://perl.qb45.com, http://bwtop50.qb45.com, and the most visited QB site on the Internet, http://qbasic.qb45.com.

The auction package also includes the content, scripts, design, and the 300,000+ pageview audience provided by qb45.com's subdomains per month. However, site hosting will not be included in the package and must be provided by the highest bidder at his or her own descretion.

Jorden Chamid describes his decision to sell qb45.com as a "moving on" process. "I've worked on this site for 5 years," Jorden says to qb45.com forum readers. "I accomlished all my personal goals with it. Now it is time to move on... After 5 years, I just don't feel like keeping it up. It's been fun, but I've had enough."

Jorden does hope to find a respectable buyer to take over qb45.com and ensure that the site stays up for QB programmers. He will even work out a safety period should the domain be purchased so that the new owner will have ample time to find a new site host. "It [Future Software] will still exist, I'd hate to see this site go down... after all, I've spent nearly 5 years on it!," Jorden comments.
