"Nothing tops off cookies better than some good
old ghost smashing"
2000 QB
Gaming Gold Award Winner for Best Gaming Babe: Cookie
Cookie is one pretty
girl. She currently works at the cookie factory, delivering boxes of cookies
to people who order them. It turns out that Cookie's next customer is none
other than the famous video game producer, JAWS-V. But as Cookie goes over
to JAWS-V's building, her journey was interrupted by JAWS-V's friend, Mr.
Change-V.
Change-V warns Cookie
that JAWS-V's building had been taken over by a multitude of ghosts! Change-V
ran off, but Cookie was determined to give JAWS-V her package. So, Cookie
walks into the haunted building. She won't let ghosts stand in the way,
even if she has to smash them all with her hammer!
Graphics (n.)
The use of animation and visual effects to stimulate the senses |
vvv
(Good) |
Cookie Delivery delivers great animation.
The ghosts come out of just about everything and offer their own dances
to pester Cookie. |
Sound/Music (n.)
The smooth blend of atmospheric sounds and original harmonies |
N/A |
The ghosts are a little less scary since
Cookie Delivery has no sound or music. |
Gameplay (n.)The precision of control
and involvement of character within its universe |
vv
(Average) |
Cookie Delivery is one of the few QB games
out there that have joystick support. |
Story (n.)
The creativity and presentation of the game's critical plot |
vvv
(Good) |
JawsVSoft took the extra time to give
Cookie Delivery a well-animated intro and ending, which you don't get to
see in a lot of QB arcade games. |
Replay Value (n.)
The timelessness of the gamer's delight, such that the experience
can be repeated again and again |
v
(Poor) |
The game's ten levels don't really vary
much,
except the ghosts get a little more numerous every now and then. Cookie
Delivery is more of a one-time showdown. |
Challenge (v.)
To strike the mental nerve in such a way as to stimulate human thought
and reflexes |
vvv
(Good) |
The ghosts are stuck to whatever object
they possess, but they do tend to shoot fire randomly, which can catch
Cookie off guard if she isn't careful. |
Fun Factor (n.)
The overall entertainment value as maintained throughout the adventure |
(Very
Poor) |
Cookie Delivery may require a little too
much patience. Cookie's attack is much slower than her enemies, so the
key to beating some of the ghosts is to wait it out until the ghosts are
tired. This lends itself to boredom. |
