Show QuickBasic.com Some Love

(7/6/2000) Formerly Dark Elf Productions, it looks like QuickBasic.com is coming back with it's domain name held up high.

After many disappearances, a glimmer of hope again shines for Quickbasic.com.

Future Software (www.qb45.com) isn't the only major QB domain that has made some big movements during the last few weeks. During the first week of July, the website QuickBasic.com has been re-launched yet again. The current version of QuickBasic.com, which includes a sky blue background, marks the second time the site had been launched this year.

Among the most noticable changes in this new take on QuickBasic.com is that the site has dropped it's old name. Much like www.qb45.com is carried by the name Future Software, QuickBasic.com used to lead to a major QB site called Dark Elf Productions. In the site's current re-birth, perhaps the decision to drop the Dark Elf name will generate a new audience for QuickBasic.com while the site tries to rebuild itself.

Since it's June/July re-launch, QuickBasic.com has already received acceptance from the QB community, by generating over 1,500 hits since the site's second return. This is remarkable considering that the current QuickBasic.com still doesn't have many of the options that the original Dark Elf Productions was famous for. In fact, the only thing QuickBasic.com goers can currently do is visit the Discussion Board! As time passes by, the features of Dark Elf Productions (along with a few other surprises) will probably be added to the new QuickBasic.com as the weeks go by.

Thankfully enough, QuickBasic.com does come with an air of familiarity. Charles Dubery, webmaster of Dark Elf Productions, retains his role as the current webmaster of QuickBasic.com. Also, many of the people who regularly visited the Dark Elf Productions site have already dropped a message on the QuickBasic.com Discussion Board.

More details on QuickBasic.com will be revealed as the site is currently under construction. In the meantime, you too can visit our good old QB affiliate by clicking here.
