Download Devkits Here

(6/24/2000) Joining the QB Expo is open to everyone again! Get up to par with what happened and download your site devkit here.

Emergency actions are needed to get devkits to everyone who wanted them.

Just three days ago, V Planet issued an article called "Devkits Delivered", which assured everyone that site devkits would be given to everyone who registered for the QB Expo by June 22nd. By June 24th, all the devkits were sent. It was around this time that V Planet received an e-mail from Sane from VGamesoft. Sane explained to us that the site devkits were not succesfully attached. So, we re-delivered the site devkits to everyone, this time making sure that the attachment was securely placed. Shortly thereafter, we received mail from Pickers saying that the message for the site devkit did not come with an attachment.

Determined to make sure that the third time was the charm, V Planet attempted to re-log into Fortunecity's mailing service. Just then, the mailing service collapsed. QBShire was unable to access the V Planet mailbox until the fourth try. It became clear that Fortunecity was buggy at that time and sending site devkits were impossible.

With Fortunecity's e-mail service in peril, an emergency was at hand. QBShire proceeded to post messages on the V Planet Discussion board, telling everyone to go to the V Planet site to download the site devkit. Then, she sent apologetic e-mails to explaining that all finished Expo pages should go to Vance's Yahoo mailbox, the same mailbox used to hold the votes for the QB Gaming Gold Awards.

Because of the current circumstances, QB Expo Site Devkits are now being offered right here on V Planet Quickbasic Magazine. In this way, those who have registered can get the most recent copy of the site devkit, without the cjb.net error. Also, in the same token, people who did not get to register because of the errors in the Fortunecity mailing service can still be a part of the event if they are willing to go through the Expo devkit and deliver finished Expo Materials by the due date, July 16.
