V Planet Wins Second Award

(6/5/2000) Daniel Erikkson helps commemorate the 5,000th hit at V Planet with a special present.

V Planet! becomes only the third site to receive The Very Good Site award.

It just seems like yesterday when we were thanking everyone for giving V Planet 500 hits. One way V Planet decided to thank everyone was to conduct the first QB Gaming Gold Awards, which game some of the best QB developers and their games a special plaque based on viewer's votes. In the end, the QB Gaming Golds were a huge success, with a lot of great winners. And now, as V Planet QuickBasic Magazine passes the 5,000 hit mark, we receive another unexpected but welcome surprise.

Daniel Erikkson, the owner of Daniel's QBasic Site, recently rewarded V Planet! Quickbasic Magazine with it's second award, the Very Good Site Award. As far as QB awards go, The Very Good Site Award is one of the hardest to earn because it requires that its winners have extensive coverage of QB games. In earning this award, V Planet joins only two sites who have won the Very Good Site award, Pete's Qbasic Site and Future Software. To be even considered in the same league as these two sites in terms of the game coverage they have provided over QB's growth years, and to receive such an award during the same day that V Planet received its 5000th hit, is certainly an honor. Thanks Daniel! The Very Good Site award will be permanently displayed in V Planet's award page.

Daniel Erikkson's current project is Portal of Worlds, a puzzle game set in the style of Kemco NES classics like Shadowgate and Dejá Vu.
