V Planet
(vplanet.cjb.net)
The first 100% QuickBasic game Review magazine The Buttons Go Bad (4/7/2000) Due to Fortunecity's recent changes, the old code for V Planet's buttons no longer work. If you've linked to us using our button code, here's what you should do. Recently this year, Fortunecity has been upgrading the site neighborhood where V Planet! Quickbasic Magazine humbly resides, at the corner of Rivendell and Dungeon. Some of these upgrades have certainly been wonderful, as they've helped making the upload and maintenance of this site a little easier to handle. Sometimes hours are spent trying to get this site updated successfully. Fortunecity's new features have helped to reduce this time significantly despite a few bumps in the road along the way. Unfortunately, one such bump has occured with our Link to Us Buttons. On the V Planet! Link to Us page there are ten nicely crafted button designs that can be used to help spice up your QB site and add a graphic link to V Planet! at the same time. The problem lies in the button code. To get around this problem, we copied some of our buttons over to the Geocities account, where the QB Gaming Gold Awards take place. This means a slight change in the button code. The new code is shown below: <a href="http://www.fortunecity.com/rivendell/dungeon/703"><img SRC="http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/4312/vbdesign no.jpg?popup=1" alt="V Planet! Quickbasic Magazine" border=0 height=30 width=88></a> Note that you still have to replace "design
no" in the code with the number of the button design you like (it's
in red). The following are pictures of the different button designs you
can use.
