The first 100% QuickBasic game Review magazine Gaming Gold Awards Delivered (3/12/2001) V Planet and Master Creating frontman Merlin team up to deliver the official 2001 QB Gaming Gold Award plaques to their respective winners.
With Spring Break being an excellent opportunity to catch up with the stream of QB news, one of V Planet's first priorities is making sure that all the business regarding this year's successful 2001 QB Gaming Gold Awards are taken care of. One of these priorities is giving the 2001 QB Gaming Gold Awards to the people who won them. Above is the design of the 2001 QB Gaming Gold Award. The new design for this year's "plaque" was made by Merlin of Master Creating, who is probably most noted for his efforts in QB games like Shadow of Power and Diamond Fighter IV. The plaque features the words Gaming Gold Award 2001 at the center, and the words "By V!planet Qmmunity" at the bottom. The overall look is very German, which makes sense since Master Creating originates its operations from Hamburg. After the plaque was finished, Master Creating sent the finished design to V Planet, where the winners of the event would be etched on the top. Finally, V Planet sent out the plaques to the winners one by one via a congratulatory e-mail. Now that all the awards have been sent, another priority that is taking place slowly but surely is the formation of the official 2001 QB Gaming Gold Award Site, which will house the results of the 2001 QB Gaming Gold Awards as well as last year's Awards. Due to a recent altercation between Geocities and V Planet, it's possible that both Gaming Gold sites could move to Fortunecity, where V Planet was originally launched back in September 1999.
