The Game:

Inspired by the old arcade classic, Missile Command, Monkey Blast! creates a new twist on the original. With the added features of multiple weapons, increased depth and over-the-top violence, Monkey Blast! puts your reflexes to the test as you try to protect your stash of bananas from mobs of starving monkeys. To protect the bananas - your only source of income - you have 9 weapons (such as the .50 Desert Eagle, the M16-A2 and an anti-tank gun), hand grenades and sadistic thresher drivers at your disposal to prevent the evil primates from snagging your precious bananas.

Once you protect your bananas long enough, the level will end and you will be asked if you wish to visit Skippy, the local gun dealer. After the level statistics are shown then the next round will begin. Soon, stronger monkeys will start attacking, the monkeys will attack quicker, they will attack in greater numbers and the monkeys will even start attacking during the night. The time has come to mark your territory with primate blood...

Controls:

To play Monkey Blast!, you will need to have a mouse. Left Click is used to fire your weapon. Right Click is used to throw a grenade. Firing is handled fairly realistic in Monkey Blast!. Firing a gun rapidly will make you lose accuracy very quickly, so firing in short bursts is a good idea. Different guns handle differently, so it may take a little time to get used to how they fire. Guns have a limited amount of ammunition, after your current clip runs out of ammunition then you will have to take a second or two to reload before you can start shooting again. There is only a limited amount of grenades you can carry at one time, so try to take out multiple monkeys with one throw.

Weapons:

Your best friend, Skippy, is a blackmarket illegal arms dealer; this definitely works out to your advantage. With the cash earned from selling your bananas you can purchase munitions from your shady friend.

Gun Damage Rate of Fire Accuracy Cost
Beretta Medium Medium Good Default
Glock 18 Low Fast Fair $800
Desert Eagle .357 High Medium Fair $1,400
Desert Eagle .50 Very High Medium Poor $2,350
Benelli M3 Low-Very High Slow Poor $3,000
MP5 Low Very Fast Good $3,650
AK-74 High Fast Excellent $3,900
M16-A2 Medium Fast Excellent $4,750
Anti-Tank gun Very High Very Slow Fair $8,750

Ammunition comes in limited supply. Once your ammo supply runs dry, the monkeys rush the banana stash very quickly. Whenever ammunition is running low, just fire your gun at one of the ammunition icons that randomly appear on the field.
Grenades are incendiary devices that you can toss at monkeys to splatter their innards all over the screen - Watch out for flying monkey limbs! You start off with 3 grenades, more can be gained by shooting at the grenade icons that randomly appear from time to time on the field.
Threshers are vehicles with blades on them that rip apart any monkey they come into contact with. They cost $1,500 to hire and will only stay around for a limited amount of time. Up to 3 threshers can be on the field at one time. Very useful for during the night...
